Hello everyone, for the past 2 months and 20 days we have been following the health and safety guidelines from the President, CDC and CA Governor Gavin Newsom – and have been meeting online only. On Monday May 25th, CA Governor Gavin Newsome released a guideline in order for churches to begin to open up. The state guidelines along with the CDC guidelines have provided us a path to move forward in opening up our church. So, we are excited to announce that we will be resuming our in-person worship services together beginning Sunday, June 7th! While we are going to meet together, we will need to follow a number of common-sense health and safety guidelines put in place mot only by the CDC but by our State and Local Governments:
There will not be nursery, children’s church or children’s SS provided at this time.
There will not be the passing of the offering plates – alternative giving methods will be made available.
If you have either traveled from a Coronavirus hit area, or come into contact with Covid-19 in the past 2 weeks, please do not come.
If you are currently sick or have a fever, do not come.
We recommend that the elderly, or those with other existing illnesses that put you at greater risk -please continue to join us online, instead of in person. If you make the decision to come you do so at your own risk.
We recommend that you don’t come at the last minute, or late, as there will be some safety screenings as you enter. If you do come late you will not be able to enter the building until you have been screened.
We will be requiring every person to sanitize their hands as they enter.
We will be temperature screening attenders.
We will be practicing some of the CDC recommendations we originally put in place, such as refraining from handshaking and hugging, etc.
We will be seated by families, but with some distancing between seats.
You may prefer to wear a mask in church – that is acceptable, and recommended for some.
Some of you may not be comfortable with meeting at this time: We recommend that you continue to watch online.
If you will have objections to sanitizing, screening or distancing – we would prefer that you not attend until all restrictions are removed.
I understand and know that some of these may seem exaggerated or intrusive but everyone’s safety is our highest priority. We are grateful for all those who participated in online services with us and we are glad for technology that has enabled us to continue to worship and hear from God, we are very excited to be able to see you, and meet in person.
